Recharge your pre-paid phone anytime, anywhere with ‘Setar Recharge’.

Digicel or Setar, at your desk, on the beach or at a party; no need to go out for a prepaid card, to the ATM or to online banking. Send a free SMS message to 1111 and your phone is recharged instantly. Recharge your own phone, someone else’s phone, even a prepaid landline.

Register yourself at any CMB Bancomatico (ATM) or call us at 522 3000 so we can set you up.

REGISTER FOR ‘SMS RECHARGE’ AT THE BANCOMATICO:
  • Choose Phone Recharge from the main options screen
  • Choose SMS Registration
  • Choose your telephone service provider
  • Enter your cellular telephone number
  • Choose if you would like to recharge other phones
  • You will receive a registration receipt from the Bancomatico
  • You will receive an SMS message confirming your registration
  • In this message, you will also receive your SMS PassCode. This PassCode is needed to send recharge requests. Keep this code in a safe place.
  • You will also receive basic recharge instructions.
RECHARGE PRE-PAID PHONES:

YOUR OWN phone

To recharge your own phone, send an SMS from the registered phone with the recharge command to the SMS number 1111. 

Send the following SMS recharge command to 1111: RC<space>PassCode<space>Amount 

Example: To recharge Afl. 10.00 with PassCode 1234 simply send the following message to 1111: RC 1234 10 

Your phone is credited immediately. You will receive a message from your provider confirming the amount that has been added. 

The minimum amount for SMS recharge is Afl. 10.00. Your CMB account will be debited for the requested recharge amount. 

Important note: Although the SMS service is free of charge your phone must have at least Afl. 0,01 on it, for the SMS to be sent.

OTHER phones

To recharge another phone (cellular or landline), send an SMS from the registered phone with the recharge command to the SMS number 1111. 

Send the following SMS recharge command to 1111: RC<space>PassCode<space>Amount
<space>OtherPhoneNumber 

Example: To recharge phone number 1234567 ANG. 10.00 with PassCode 1234 simply send the following message to 1111: RC 1234 10 1234567 

The phone number you entered, will be credited immediately. You will receive a message confirming the amount that has been added to the other phone. If the other phone is a cellular phone, it will receive a message from its provider confirming that the amount that has been added.

LOST YOUR PHONE?

In case of a lost or stolen phone, please cancel SMS at any CMB Bancomatico, or contact the Automated Services Department at 522 3000 to report your loss (522 3000 after business hours).

The UTIL service will be disabled until you re-register your phone at any CMB Bancomatico.

 

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Here are some safety tips to avoid misuse of the ‘SMS Recharge’ service:

  • Keep your PassCode is in a safe place and do not give it to anyone.
  • Delete the message containing the PassCode.
  • Delete your Sent Messages with the request to recharge your phone.
